Welcome to the Lake House!
Your Rhode Island Waterfront Vacation Rental Home
A waterfront vacation rental home on a pristine freshwater lake near the beautiful ocean beaches of Narragansett, RI.
While some vacation rentals are near the water, there are few like this that are truly waterfront--swim, kayak, and fish from your front yard!
The Lake House offers the best of both worlds--a beautiful freshwater lake in your backyard and the salt water beaches of Narragansett just down the road. The mile-long lake warms for swimming well before the ocean does and stays warm into Septermber.
The dock offers the perfect spot to relax, soak in the sun, and enjoy the view.
There is information on places to kayak , nearby salt water beaches , a guide to place names --along with an explanation as to why asking for directions can actually get you more lost.
Want to golf ? Golf is big in southern RI--when you select the Lake House as your vacation rental home you'll be less than 3 miles away from the closest public golf course and within 30 minutes of nearly one dozen public 18-hole golf courses.
How to Speak RI When You're Hungry is a guide to native foods and the dialect necessary to communicate your desires. Restaurants and places to eat is a work in progress with a focus on those establishments that you might not find on your own.
There are links to recreation and sports activities , as well as links to historic sites and attractions . A list of 2006 f estivals and events , including an old fashion county fair, hot air balloons, a parachute jumping contest, the traditional blessing of the fleet, a seafood festival, fireworks, and more! (Updates for 2007 coming soon!) A guide to the freshest local produce--a list of farms, farm stands, and pick you own farms . What's June with fresh ripe strawberries or July and August with local sweet corn???
